The Macallan has launched an exclusive month-long activation at John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal 4, offering travelers an immersive experience centered around their Harmony Collection IV Guardian Oak whisky.
Running through the end of April, the activation showcases the brand’s latest travel retail exclusive expression, which was developed in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil as part of The Macallan’s 200th-anniversary celebration last year.
The Harmony Collection series, now in its fourth edition, emphasizes The Macallan’s commitment to sustainability by using natural materials in its packaging design.
The GTR Experience
The Terminal 4 activation features a specially designed podium highlighting the Harmony Guardian Oak bottle and its unique Cirque du Soleil partnership. Travelers can engage with an interactive sensory experience that demonstrates the journey of sherry-seasoned oak.
The experience includes scented oak chippings in “acorn” glasses that showcase the evolution from virgin oak to aged whisky, providing visitors with a deeper understanding of the whisky maturation process.
“The Harmony Collection IV Guardian Oak arrives at a pivotal moment as travelers reconnect with the world, seeking exceptional experiences,” notes the brand’s promotional materials. The display also connects The Macallan’s Six Pillars philosophy to characters from Cirque du Soleil’s “SPIRIT” performance.

The Macallan Harmony Guardian Oak is available for purchase at the Terminal 4 location for $185. The whisky offers a rich, complex flavor profile derived from European sherry-seasoned oak casks.
The expression’s packaging features Davonna from Cirque du Soleil’s ‘SPIRIT,’ with purple hues symbolizing wisdom and maturity. These design elements reflect the whisky’s sophisticated character and its maturation process in sherry-seasoned casks.
According to The Macallan’s tasting notes, Harmony Guardian Oak delivers “rich dried fruits of dates, figs and raisins” on the nose, mingled with “orange peel, dark chocolate and hints of warming nutmeg.” The palate features “sticky ginger syrup sweetness and a burst of orange” leading to “opulent glazed dates, cherries and plump sultanas alongside rich oak and sweet spices.”
Travelers purchasing the limited-edition expression can also enhance their gift with complimentary branded ribbon wrapping at the activation site.
