Quick Review: Angel's Envy Triple Oak

I was excited to try this new Angel’s Envy release, since I’m a fan of double oaked bourbons. I also like the regular Angel’s Envy.

But this one…what a disappointment. Only very light oak on the nose, mouthfeel is thin and watery, palate has no depth of flavor and almost no finish. I expected much more depth of flavor from a triple oaked bourbon.

I’m mad that I spent over $60 on this bottle. Definitely not worth it in my opinion. There are much better double oaked options (Woodford DO, OF 1910) that are at similar proofs and pack a lot more flavor.
